Biography

I began my fencing career in 1979 as an inaugural member of the University of Nebraska – Omaha Fencing Team. I was also a member of the Omaha Fencing Club, with my primary focus on foil at that time. After relocating to Colorado in 1981, I joined the Mile High Fencing Club, fencing both foil and epée. In 2009 I joined the newly established Fencing Academy of Denver where I began fencing sabre. In addition to competing in sabre, I’m also a full-time sabre coach at FAD and the clubs ad-hoc armorer. It is my privilege to serve the Colorado fencing community as Vice-Chairman on the Executive Committee of the Colorado Division – USFA.
